The trestle that spans Indian Creek at Roaring Camp in Felton, Ca. is one of the engineering marvels at the Roaring Camp & Big Trees Narrow Gauge Railroad.
The wooden trestle rises to a height of 35 feet as it climbs a total of 50 feet as it winds around. It is the tightest turning trestle in the United States.

To sketch the trestle I hiked up from Henry Cowell State Park and stood on a fire road that parallels the beginning of the trestle. When the railroad was being built in the early to mid 1960s efforts were made to build around the existing redwood and Douglas-fir trees instead of removing them.
